Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Lewisville is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Lewisville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Used to be a years-long patron of this Calloways, but no longer. The past few visits the customer service at this location behind the counter has been declining, as well as the quality of the plants. What did it for me was the shock of seeing an ornamental plant I was looking for that looked cosmetically awful (torn leaves, broken stems, lots of scorched dead brown leaves). Not okay when its the only one left and the price for it with tax is close to $100. When I asked the manager about the possibility of a little discount given the quality, she declined, saying that they have a money-back guarantee if I decided to return it. Upon further inspection, I dodged a bullet because it had signs of scale and mites, so I left it there.

Got here just now at 6:11 on April 30,2026. Lady up front skinny brunette with ponytail and cap was quite rude. Was just talking over me as I tried to explain the sign right in front of my car said they close at 7 and had extended spring hours. Man in red hoodie with locs stomps over and snatches the old sign from out of window clearly ticked off bc yes they still had the incorrect hours displayed. No apology or nothing for the mistake or inconvenience or accountability bc that’s no one’s fault but theirs. And It’s not what you say but how you say it. And they JUST updated their hours like this week so don’t be rude to people because you haven’t properly update your signage. I’ve spent a few hundred here this spring updating my balcony but I’ll take my business to a location with more pleasant employees. My last few visits were pleasant but those two employees were less than enjoyable to interact with this evening and I’d rather not chance running into that type of attitude again.

Edit as of 4/16 - I had to remove three stars because I just called on the phone asking if they had their Mosquito Bits in stock in store (it says online that you may have to call to confirm) and the lady who answered was so rude! There was not a formal greeting, just awkward silence and an irritated “hello?” When I asked her if they had the Mosquito Bits in stock, she said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and so I explained what they were and she kept saying she didn’t know and that I’m not making any sense, so I just hung up. That ruined my day and I won’t be coming back to this location. It would be great if they checked or asked another employee. If they didn’t know that would be okay too, but her sour attitude was not. I hope her attitude towards paying customers changes. I did not catch her name as she did not introduce herself, but she sounded older. I really appreciate this place. Staff is friendly and not overbearing or hovering which I prefer! I can look around at my own pace and not feel rushed to pay and leave. They keep a positive attitude whenever I do have questions or need help. It smells wonderful in there and it brings me peace and happiness. Thank you fo

I love this store. This is where I get most of my gardening stuff. They have a good selection of all types of plants and flowers, indoor, outdoor, etc. The staff is usually very helpful and very attentive.

It was my first time getting into gardening. When I first stepped into Calloways, I felt welcomed, and a worker came up to me with knowledgeable information about beginner plants. I appreciated his friendly presents; it was so helpful, explaining specific plants that I never even consider buying. I recommend coming to this location 10 out of 10 customer service. I will come back to this location just because of the workers there. I appreciate his time and effort; even though my plants die, I could come back and get some new ones thanks to the beautiful service up there. Thank you guys so much also; a special thanks to the manager that helps me with my $9.51 Credit. Your guy's work ethic and team cooperation do not go unnoticed. As a customer, I see all the work that you guys and I appreciate very much; thank you.
